Celebrating Excellence: Lars Rasmussen Recognized at EY CFO of the Year Awards

Baton Transport’s CFO, Lars Rasmussen, was recognized as a finalist in the 2024 EY CFO of the Year Awards in Bulgaria. He was shortlisted in two key categories — Sustainability and Team Leadership & Talent Development.

The Sustainability nomination highlights how Baton Transport’s long-term commitment to responsible business aligns with the highest ESG standards, where Lars plays a crucial role in embedding sustainability into our financial strategies and operations. Under his leadership, Baton conducted a double materiality assessment, implemented a best-in-class ESG reporting platform, and established a suite of sustainability policies – positioning the company ahead of regulatory requirements and setting the foundation for future initiatives.

In the Team Leadership & Talent Development category, Lars’ leadership was acknowledged for fostering a culture of collaboration, growth, and innovation. Beyond the Finance team, Lars leads Insurance, Subcontractors Management, Payroll, Digital Transformation, and the Process and Technology Center of Excellence. His leadership has redefined team dynamics, introduced a structured performance management process, and invested significantly in talent development and upskilling initiatives.
